Happy: "It was not the NiP we know"

For the winning interview we got a hold of Vincent "Happy" Cervoni to talk about the clean victory over NiP in the grand final.
EnVyUs managed to edge dignitas thanks to a de_overpass overtime win and followed it up with a very comfortable 3-0 series against NiP to grab the trophy and $40,000.
Read below to see what Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer had to say on the NiP series and what lies in the future for EnVyUs:
You won very convincingly, did it feel as convincing as it looked?
I've always had a good track record against NiP and I always felt really confident playing against them. I knew it would be a tough match, so it actually surprised me that it felt like they were really bad. I think when they talk about this game and this final, they will say "OK, we sucked, let's just move on," because it was not the real NiP that we know, like in Katowice.
You had quite a few cheeky situations on Cache, where you ended up behind the players, was it planned or did you let your players roam and they chose those positions and happened to be there?
I think it's dependent on the situations, players sometimes make their own calls. Running into a smoke is usually a personal call, an individual call.
Happy was not impressed with the way NiP played today
Now you that won Gfinity, I believe ESEA ESL Finals is next, what are your expectations of that?
I think it will be like every major, it's a boring answer, but we need to pass the group stage and then we'll feel like we've achieved our minimum. We'll be more confident, we'll be prepared for the matches and just go as far as you can, as always.
What are your plans for the weeks afterwards?
I think we'll have a tough schedule, we'll fly to Cologne, then we'll get one day off and then we go directly to Montreal for ESWC. Then, if we qualify, we will go to FACEIT and then we need to go back to the US for CEVO, which we are already invited for. There will be no time to even practice.
With this interview, we're wrapping up our Gfinity Summer Masters I coverage. On Wednesday a three-man HLTV.org team is heading to Cologne for ESL ESEA Pro League Finals, you can look forward to a full coverage including video interviews.
